Program.

微軟亞洲研究院是微軟公司在美國本土之外的基礎科研機構，被美國技術雜志MI
T 《Technology Review》譽為“世界上最火的計算機實驗室”。 自1998年成立以來，啟
動了面向亞太區(qū)高校博士生、碩士生和優(yōu)秀本科生的“明日之星”實習生項目。該項目由
微軟亞洲研究院和國內外高校共同執(zhí)行，旨在培養(yǎng)高素質的計算機基礎研究人才。實習生
進入微軟亞洲研究院后深入到每個研究小組進行為期三個月或更長時間的實習。截止至20
11年9月，已有4000名來自亞太區(qū)高校的學生到微軟亞洲研究院實習，平均每年有400個實
習機會開放給所有的學生。

Group Overview

Microsoft Research Asia researchers have collaborated with product groups over
the years to ship over 200 innovations in Microsoft products. The Innovation
Engineering team supports these technology transfers, and fosters new product
incubation, by bringing together software design engineers, user experience ex
perts, program managers, business strategists and others to help turn ideas in
to reality.

Roles & Responsibilities

The interns will be working in a development role with Weipeng Liu , Mu Li , a
nd Matt Scott on a cutting-edge linguistic software application that spans nat
ural language processing and beautiful client-side user experiences. The focus
of the internship is on modern C software programming in developing the Win
dows® client, which may include advanced user interface development and /
or high performance text processing engine development.

Required Qualifications:

BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science or any related techni
cal field and possess the following skills;
Win32 GUI programming (e.g. familiar with Message Loop, GDI, etc.)
Has solid C background; should be familiar with STL and TR1 libraries. (Know
ing Boost libraries would be a big plus)
Being familiar with low-level memory operations with C/C is a plus
Has strong ability to learn and investigate new approaches.
Understands the importance of clean, readable and maintainable code.
Can commit at least 6 months internship, can get your advisors approval.
