　　1. -ese：

　　Chin(a) + ese→Chinese n. 中國(guó)人;漢語(yǔ)

　　E.g. Remember you are a Chinese wherever you go.

　　不論你到哪里，記住你是中國(guó)人。

　　Japan + ese→Japanese n. 日本人;日語(yǔ)

　　E.g. Not only did he speak English well, but he spoke Japanese more easily.

　　他不但英語(yǔ)說(shuō)得好，就連日語(yǔ)也講得輕松自如。

　　2.-(r)ess：

　　host+ ess→hostess n. 女主人

　　E.g. The hostess gave us a cordial greeting.

　　女主人熱忱地歡迎我們。

　　act+ ress→actress n. 女演員

　　E.g. The famous actress is now appearing at the Capital Theatre.

　　目前這位女演員正在首都劇場(chǎng)演出。

　　3. -ian：

　　logic+ ian→logician n. 邏輯學(xué)家

　　E.g. As the founder of pragmatism, firstly and mostly Peirce was a logician.

　　作為實(shí)用主義的鼻祖，皮爾士首先和主要是一位邏輯學(xué)家。

　　mathematic+ ian→mathematician n. 數(shù)學(xué)家

　　E.g. Einstein is identified with a higher mathematician.

　　愛(ài)因斯坦被列為高等數(shù)學(xué)家。

　　4.-ist：

　　drama+ (t)ist→dramatist n. 劇作家

　　E.g. Shakespeare is, by common consent, the greatest English dramatist.

　　莎士比亞被公認(rèn)是英國(guó)最偉大的劇作家。

　　dent+ ist→dentist n. 牙科醫(yī)生

　　E.g. The dentist told the boy not to eat too many sweets.

　　牙醫(yī)告誡這男孩不要吃太多糖果。

　　5.-ster：

　　young+ ster→youngster n. 年輕人

　　E.g. That youngster works with a will.

　　這小伙子干活有股傻勁兒。

　　gang+ ster→gangster n. 歹徒

　　E.g. The police are hard on the track of the gangster.

　　警察正在追蹤那名匪徒。
