　　1. -an：

　　electrician n. 電工;電氣技師

　　E.g. The electrician took the houselights down.

　　電工將劇場(chǎng)中觀眾席上的燈光減弱了一點(diǎn)。

　　physician n. [醫(yī)] 醫(yī)師，內(nèi)科醫(yī)師

　　E.g. He prefers to be a surgeon rather than a physician.

　　他喜歡當(dāng)外科醫(yī)生而不愿作內(nèi)科醫(yī)生。

　　2. -ant, -ent：

　　applicant n. 申請(qǐng)人

　　E.g. The job applicant must have good verbal skills.

　　應(yīng)聘這份工作的人必須具有良好的語(yǔ)言表達(dá)技能。

　　correspondent n. 通信者

　　E.g. The newspaper has a foreign correspondent.

　　這家報(bào)紙有個(gè)外國(guó)通訊記者。

　　3. -ard：

　　coward n. 懦夫，懦弱的人

　　E.g. She accused her husband of being a coward.

　　她指責(zé)自己的丈夫是個(gè)膽小鬼。

　　drunkard n. 酒鬼，醉漢

　　E.g. That drunkard flung out the empty bottle.

　　那個(gè)醉漢把空瓶扔了出來(lái)。

　　4. -ee：

　　employee n. 雇員

　　E.g. The boss dismissed that employee.

　　老板解雇了那個(gè)雇員。

　　examinee n. 應(yīng)試者

　　E.g. It required that every examinee put down his/ her name on the answer sheet.

　　要求所有考生都把自己的姓名寫(xiě)在答題紙上。

　　5. -eer：

　　pioneer n. 開(kāi)拓者，先鋒

　　E.g. Li Dazhao was a pioneer of the Chinese revolution.

　　李大釗是中國(guó)革命的先驅(qū)。

　　volunteer n. 志愿者

　　E.g. She now helps in a local school as a volunteer three days a week.

　　6. -er, -or：

　　manufacturer n. 制造商

　　E.g. All the goods are labelled with the address of the manufacturer.

　　survivor n. 幸存者

　　E.g. Officials said there were no survivors of the plane crash.

　　官方說(shuō)這次飛機(jī)失事無(wú)一人生還。
