Mr Blake and his family went on an excursion yesterday.

Timmy noticed a car in front.

There was a big L on the back.

在車(chē)身后有個(gè)斗大的字母L
"What does that letter L stand for?"Timmy asked.

蒂米問(wèn):"那個(gè)字母L代表什么?"
"It stands for 'Learner,"his father answered.

"它代表'初學(xué)者'," 爸爸回答
Mr Blake began to overtake the car in front.

布萊克先生開(kāi)始超前面那輛車(chē)
Just as he was passing it.

正要超過(guò)時(shí)
Timmy noticed another car ahead.

蒂米發(fā)現(xiàn)前方還有輛車(chē)
It had the letters G.B.on the back.

在車(chē)身后有GB兩個(gè)字母
"What do the letters G.B. stand for,Timmy?" Mr Blake asked.

"蒂米,GB這兩個(gè)字母代表什么?"布萊克先生問(wèn)
"I suppose it's a learner who's getting better,"Timmy answered.

"我想它們指的是'已有進(jìn)步'的初學(xué)者,"蒂米回答
