　　I disagree that parents should be involved in helping their children choose a career because for one thing, the child’s interests might be different than the parent’s interests. My parents never forced me in a career. They let me choose for myself because they knew that if they forced me to do something, I wouldn’tbe interested in doing it at all.

　　For another thing, if a parent is “helping” them choose a career, they may make the child feel forced in a career that the child won’t like. I know many people that have careers that they hate because their parents wanted them to have that career. The best advice I ever got is “l(fā)ove what you do and you’ll never work a day in your life”.
