Incorrect English:

“I want to take a picture about him.”

Correct English:

“I want to take a picture of him.”

如果我們要表達(dá)圖片中有什么,我們說 “a picture of ___ ”,空格處寫明你要表達(dá)的內(nèi)容,在這里不用“about”。

但是有些詞如“movies , stories , poems , novels , speeches, classes”等需要使用, “about”。例如：

When we want to say what is in a picture, we say we have“a picture of ___”, and fill in the blank with what is in the picture. We do not use the word “about”.

We use this word for the content of movies, stories, poems, novels, speeches, classes, etc.

“I took a photograph of Bill Clinton when I went to the White House in 1995.”

“I have a picture of Michael Jordan running down the basketball court.”

“That book is about the history of Ireland. It has many pictures of the Irish people struggling for peace. ”

如果我們把一張照片作為一件工藝品來談?wù)摰脑?我們可以說“a picture about ___”.

Note:

If we want to treat the photograph as a work of art, and we want to talk about its meaning , then we can say

“a picture about ___”.

Example:

“l(fā)ook at this picture of this poor woman working so hard . It’s a picture about suffering, oppression, poverty,

and inequality.”
