However, this practice has also some undesirable effects. Owing to the large population of China, most people's touring experiences during the first 7-day holiday, though well planned in advance, turnedsour. They couldn't get railway tickets; hotels were packed; scenic spots were all full of people. No wonder that a flood of complaints followed the week - long holiday.
As the saying goes," All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." Longer holidays are certainly desirable, but the government should see that related facilities, such as transportation system and accommodation, are promptly adapted to the need of holiday activities.
