Job Title: Actuarial Intern
Position Requirements:
-Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics major preferred
- Must be able to read, analyze and interpret procedures, regulations, instructions, manuals and other documents as required.
-Excellent telephone, public relations and oral/written English communication skills are required.
- Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
-Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
- Must possess solid skills with computers including experience with Word, Excel, Access, VBA
Position Objectives:
-Participate in SoA related performance data verification, which would enable you to gain exposure to the health insurance industry and valuable experience
- Help with special projects for competitive & product analysis areas.
- Assist in using mathematical techniques and VA model to test business for profitability and provide statistical justification needed to revise rate or terms.
- Assist in validating and maintaining LR monitory tool, which is used for trending and pricing analysis
